Data Science Industry Day
March 28, 2018
8 am to 5:30 pm in the TSRB Banquet Hall
What is Data Science Industry Day?
The Georgia Tech Institute for Data Engineering and Science (IDEaS) is hosting a Data Science Industry Day as an introduction to its programs and centers. Industry Day is an opportunity for local industry to have a two-way conversation with GT faculty and students on pressing data science issues and to engage with IDEaS at Georgia Tech to navigate across the university.
Who should attend?
Technical managers, project leads, decision makers and C-suite. This year's focus will be on three major topics (1) AI and machine learning, (2) graph analytics and anomaly detection (3) unstructured data (text, image, and video).
Why should you attend?
Come and connect with IDEaS at Georgia Tech to meet researchers and students relevant to your company’s mission and work. Learn about latest projects and trends in important data science topics. Hear a broad cross-section of activities across campus in this area.
What is GT IDEaS?
The Institute for Data Engineering and Science provides a unified point to connect government, industry, and academia to advance foundational research, and accelerate the adoption of Big Data technology. IDEaS leverages expertise and resources from throughout Georgia Tech's colleges, research labs, and external partners, to define and pursue grand challenges in data science foundations and in data-driven discovery. We are also dedicated to educating students and those already in the workforce through innovative educational and training programs.
Why become a Sponsor?
All of our Industry Day sponsors receive benefits as well as prominent branding and promotion as part of the event, but they also become “Friends of IDEaS.” IDEaS works year-round to help support events like this across campus. Companies plugged into IDEaS can get help in navigating research projects, access to advertise job listings to IDEaS student lists, specialized events, and more. If you or your company would like to be connected to IDEaS at Georgia Tech, please see our Industry Partners page. We truly appreciate your support!
