Shkina Halbert, Program & Operational Manager
Shkina Halbert joined IDEaS in 2016 to provide Administrative support. In 2019, she was promoted to IDEaS Program & Operations Manager. She has over eleven years of experience in the administrative field. She previously work at a successful immigration law firm that assisted the top partners of the company. She primarily handles planning and coordinating workshops/conferences, department HR duties, department operations, travel and various other tasks to support the team. She holds a Masters in Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts in history.
Christina Camejo joined IDEaS as an Administrative Professional in 2020. She has over fifteen years of experience in administrative support within the federal government and private sector. Her primary responsibilities include calendar management, processing travel, coordinating meeting and event logistics and providing direct support to the IDEaS team.
Charmain Alston, Sr. Grants Administrator
Charmain M. Alston is the senior grants administrator for IDEaS. She joined the team in 2017 with more than 26 years of experience in the federal government, and 18 years of experience with proposal and financial administration at the National Science Foundation’s Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) directorate. She is also currently obtaining her BBS with a concentration in Acquisition and Contract Management.
Kendra Lewis-Strickland, Program Coordinator
Kendra Lewis-Strickland joined IDEaS in 2018 to provide project and program operational support for industry engagements and the South Big Data Hub. Her role includes planning and monitoring program operational aspects, marketing and communication efforts, and numerous additional activities. She has over eight years of higher education experience in various student services roles at public, private, and research institutions. She has a B.A from Missouri Science & Technology, an MS from Missouri State University, and is currently earning her EdD in Organizational Leadership/Higher Education from Grand Canyon University.
Eric Surette is the Financial Administrator for IDEaS. He joined the team in 2019 with 3 years of finance experience in non-profits. Eric manages the state funded segments of IDEaS. He holds a B.S in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
